Utilization of Acute Care Positions Survey Report - October 2018
The 2018 Utilization of Select Acute Care Positions Survey is a survey that focuses on four acute care positions within California Hospitals in order to identify both emerging workforce trends, and the roles, responsibilities and scopes of the four positions, as well as an examination of the current compensation offerings. The results will help the California Community College System understand how these positions are utilized in the acute setting and identify any training needs or opportunities that will be gleaned from the results.
The four positions in the survey are:
1. Certified Nursing Assistant
2. Licensed Vocational Nurse
3. Patient Care Technician
4. Unlicensed Nursing Assistant/Aide
The survey was sponsored by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office. It utilizes the Hospital Association of Southern California's ("HASC") extensive, statewide, member hospital partnerships, which cover nearly all hospitals across the state.
